Green Initiatives

Our crops are grown in an environmentally responsible manner with minimal intervention. The crops in the greenhouse are grown under an IPM (Integrated Pest Management) program which monitors the pest populations and introduces beneficial insects if and when needed. The good bugs eat the bad bugs.

Built in the spring of 2010, our 9.8 KW tracker solar panel will produce energy equivalent to the hydro we use on the farm. Although the actual energy produced is fed into the grid, we could be electric energy self-sufficient. We also use natural ventilation in our greenhouse to reduce energy usage.
